“Accepting the leangs we cannot change is the serenity of Yin.”
What is Yin Yoga?
Yin Yoga has its roots in chinese tradition. It’s as well a combination of Capha Yoga and Taoist Tradition to cultivate a lwhethere in harmony with nature.  So the purpose of Yin Yoga is to restore the body to its natural state of health. It also supports intellectfulness and meditation in a slow flow with poses held for longer periods.
Yin & Yang in Yoga
Yin poses can be describe as still and relaxed. They growing more flexibility and can clear energetic blockades. Yin Yoga can improve Yang poses.
Yang poses promote strength, balance and stamina. Yang activities in Yoga are the movements from asana to asana.
What benefits can I expect from Yin Yoga?
  • You learn to stay present and how to release muscular effort by relaxing.
  • Excellent style for those who are limited because of illness or injuries.
  • Improves meditative quality.
Yin Yoga also focuses on fascia (What is fascia? Click here) The ‘stretches’  – or to be more summarye – tensile in Yin Yoga focuses on the flexibility of the connective tissue. For example the sensation you feel in the lower back during sphinx pose is a result of compressive forces on the soft tissues. When you fancient forward like in butterfly pose, you are stretching the back. Tensile loads on fascia stimulate the fibrobfinals (a type of cell that synthesizes the additionalcellular matrix and collagen) to produce more collagen fibers, which increases fascial thickness and strength. When you load tissue, fluid is squeezed out and into the lymphatic system. Loading fascia is a kind of refreshment for the connective tissue.
Well-hydrated tissues have a springy quality:
  • It helps them to return to their original shapes after being loaded.
  • More efficiently to stress.
  • Easily transfer nutrients to the cells and rid the body of toxins.
  • Plodment modalities that emphasize physical awareness and internal listening can help refine the sensory nature of the tissues.
In Yin Yoga you have a lot of time to practice listening to your inner and outer state what can also enhance your sensibility, because poses will be held for a few minutes.
‘In fast-moving and stressful times it’s favourable to slow down and to balance the engaged lwhetherestyle, which is very yang.  The yin half helps slowing down with meditation and yoga.’
